Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
1. Overview
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MyGreencard, operated by [Company Name] ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the platform.
2. Not Legal Advice
MyGreencard is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The platform provides self-help tools, educational content, and information based on publicly available USCIS data and immigration resources.
Nothing on this platform constitutes legal advice, creates an attorney-client relationship, or should be relied upon as a substitute for consultation with a licensed immigration attorney. MyGreencard does not submit petitions or applications to government agencies on your behalf and does not represent users in any immigration proceeding.
For complex immigration situations, we strongly recommend consulting a licensed immigration attorney.
3. No Guarantee of Immigration Outcomes
MyGreencard does not guarantee any immigration outcome, including approval of any petition, visa, or application. Immigration decisions are made solely by government authorities and depend on factors entirely outside our control.
Route assessments, eligibility scores, and timelines provided by the platform are estimates based on publicly available data and the information you provide. They are not predictions of government decisions.
4. User Responsibility for Filings
You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying any documents, forms, or information before submitting them to any government agency. MyGreencard provides organizational tools and informational guidance only. Errors in your filing are your responsibility.
Users remain responsible for monitoring all immigration deadlines and requirements. MyGreencard provides reminders and alerts as a convenience feature, but does not guarantee that alerts will be delivered or received. Do not rely solely on platform notifications to track critical deadlines.
5. AI-Generated Content
Certain features of the platform may generate content using artificial intelligence, including draft cover letters and recommendation letters. Such content is provided for informational and drafting purposes only and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or errors.
You must review and verify all AI-generated content before use and before submitting it to any government agency or third party. We are not responsible for any consequences arising from reliance on AI-generated content without independent verification.
6. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use MyGreencard. By using the platform, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
7. Your Account
To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@mygreencard.app if you believe your account has been compromised.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably suspect are being used fraudulently.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
- Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the platform without permission
- Use the platform to harass, harm, or deceive others
- Resell or redistribute platform content or outputs without our prior written consent
- Interfere with the security, availability, or integrity of the platform
9. Subscriptions and Payments
Access to certain features requires a paid subscription. Pricing is displayed at checkout and may change over time. Founding member pricing, where offered, is locked in for the life of your active subscription.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Refunds may be granted at our sole discretion — contact us at hello@mygreencard.app.
We use third-party payment processors and do not store your payment card details.
10. Accuracy of Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of information on the platform, including USCIS forms, timelines, and eligibility criteria. However, information on the platform may not reflect the most current immigration laws or policies. Immigration law and USCIS policy change frequently, and we do not guarantee that information is current, complete, or applicable to your specific situation.
Always verify information directly with USCIS at uscis.gov or with a licensed immigration attorney before filing any petition or application.
11. Intellectual Property
All content, software, design, and materials on the platform are owned by or licensed to MyGreencard and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute platform content without our prior written permission.
You retain ownership of any content or data you submit to the platform. By submitting it, you grant us a limited license to use it solely to provide the service to you.
12. Third-Party Links and Services
The platform may contain links to third-party websites or reference external resources such as USCIS.gov. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites. Links do not constitute endorsement.
13. Export Control and Sanctions
You may not use the platform if you are located in a country subject to U.S. government sanctions or if you are listed on any U.S. government prohibited party list, including those maintained by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyGreencard and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, denial of a petition or application, missed immigration deadlines, immigration consequences of any kind, or any reliance on information or AI-generated content provided by the platform.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyGreencard and its operators from any claims, losses, damages, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
17. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including government actions, changes in law or regulation, internet or infrastructure outages, natural disasters, or other force majeure events.
18. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the platform will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of [Arbitration Body], rather than through court proceedings, except where prohibited by law. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking emergency injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
19. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting us.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 11, 14, 15, and 16) will continue to apply after termination.
20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [State/Country], without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes not resolved through arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the courts of [Jurisdiction].
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
22. Contact
